Automating Quality Across Every Launch

The challenge

TEVEO launches 24 new product collections per year. That's a new drop almost every two weeks, on a platform where a single Sunday launch can generate millions in sales within an hour. At that pace, a bug that slips through to production isn't just a technical inconvenience. It's a direct hit to revenue.

Manual testing couldn't keep up. It was slow, inconsistent, and increasingly unrealistic to scale alongside TEVEO's release cadence. Something had to change before a problem surfaced in front of a customer.

The solution

We built a fully automated testing infrastructure using three tools in combination. BrowserStack provides the real device testing environment, using actual physical phones and computers in a data center rather than emulators, with full reporting and cross-browser coverage. Playwright handles the automation layer, running test flows with auto-wait functionality and parallel execution across devices. Percy adds visual regression testing on top, comparing screenshots pixel by pixel and flagging anything that falls outside an acceptable threshold, set at 0.3%, which is tight enough to catch real issues while filtering out noise like minor price changes.

The system runs before code goes live. Bugs get flagged early, when they're cheap to fix, instead of discovered later when they're expensive. The whole stack is built to be expandable to other clients with similar scale and release complexity.

THE IMPACT WE MADE

Automated testing goes live in the next two to three weeks. What it replaces is a manual QA process that couldn't realistically cover the surface area TEVEO's platform requires. What it delivers is consistent, reliable coverage across browsers and devices on every deployment, with visual regression checks that catch UI changes no human tester would reliably spot at speed.
